<strong>Yin Yang</strong> have been mothered to alot of chicks in past. But its her very first time to mother keets! And she is doing just wonderful! How

			<description><![CDATA[ I know that a chicken&#39;s feet can become deformed when given the wrong feed, but I am giving them starter and only starter.

One of the chicks, 18 days old now, its foot is looking weird today. I&#39;m sure that it was fine yesterday. It sits at a wrong angle and the toes (is that
what you call them?) are clumped together. It&#39;s limping badly. Did it break its foot??

When I look at old posts, many say that you can feed the chicks starter until they lay their first egg.

Here are a couple of questions though:

When they are really young (mine are less than a week old), is starter all you want to feed them, or can they just eat whatever? Like can I feed them bread and

			<description><![CDATA[ How do I tell if my 3 1/2 week old Cornish X&#39;s are developing ascites?  Their &#39;butts&#39; are sticking out, not the actual anal opening, but their rear

			<description><![CDATA[ I had a small hatch of 3 adorable silkie chicks . A little grey one was the first to hatch out, he hatched very late on day 21 (almost day 22) and the other
two hatched late day 22 so he is about a day older and stayed in the incubator until the other two hatched. When I first saw him in the incubator I actually
thought he only had one eye because the other was closed and feathers covered it. Later on when I took him out I saw that the feathers had actually become

			<description><![CDATA[ Okay this is year number 3 with chickens. I&#39;ve had a total of at least 24 hens sitting on their eggs but haven&#39;t had a single one hatch. Each time
something went wrong and I learned something new and hope to have it done right this time around. I went as far as to build a second coop to be able to
separate a broody hen completely. I have 3 hens currently sitting on eggs in the new coop and I have no idea what can go wrong this time around. I have two

			<title><![CDATA[ A question about candling! ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>OK, I just attempted my 1st candling of eggs that are due to hatch Friday the 27th.
<br>
They have been @ 100 degrees in the incubator with an auto turner.
<br>
Mod humidity. They are now out of the turner and on the screen floor with a little more water. </p>

<p>My candling results:</p>

<p>I have 3 eggs that show fluid inside the egg. No matter how I turn it the fluid moves quickly, like water, and rolls with gravity.</p>
