			<description><![CDATA[ I have a young male duck about 3/4 grown.  He started 3 days ago with having a hard time balancing and keeping his head going forward.  I moved him to
isolation on the 2nd day since he had a hard time competing with any other ducks to get food and water.  He seemed to get better after he had full access to
grain, water and a little cat food.  Today, his balance is bad.  He holds his head as if he wants to look backwards about 1/2 of the time.  He has lost balance

			<description><![CDATA[ My 3-year hen was sitting on the bottom of the coop this evening, puffed up.  When she heard me come in, she tried to walk and was wobbly.  I have her inside
now and she has her eyes closed, still wobbly.  No discharge or smell.  No signs of any body trauma, legs are not broken.  She was fine this morning when I let
her out.

			<title><![CDATA[ What can I do for sick Chick? ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>I have a cross breed chick that is approximatly 10 weeks old, he started limping about 4 weeks ago so seperated him in an isolation pen. But then about 2
weeks later both of his legs became paralyzed. I thought that he had mareks so I put him in my brooder bin with plenty of food, water and tomatoes and he has
still survived. I think his legs have gotten a little better but his feet are still paralyzed and now his head is always turned to the side.

			<description><![CDATA[ I have a 5 1/2 month old Red Star that has been laying a yoke and some white of the egg.  I have never seen a shell when she does this.  She acts very sick
just before she lays it.  I separated her tonight to keep her warmer than what it is in the coop but now she seems fine.  The Red Stars started laying when
they were about 4 months.  I have another chicken (not sure which one) that seems to be doing the same thing.  When I go into the little coop there is a broken

			<description><![CDATA[ first off, i&#39;m glad to find this forum.  I have 5 Rhode Island Red chickens--2 roosters and 3 hens. They are about 6 months old.  Today when I was out
feeding them i found the rooster laying on his side and not willing to move around unless I make him.  He will get up to eat a bit and drink some, but goes
right back to laying down.  he&#39;s normally really fiesty, won&#39;t let me near him and will bite if we get near him.  he allowed me to pick him up and

			<title><![CDATA[ Infected toe on turkey? Pic included ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ My favorite turkey hen has a problem with one toe. It looks like the toe is dying. It doesn&#39;t appear to be holding any pus. The bottom of the toe is not
quite as white. It does not look like bumblefoot because there doesn&#39;t appear to be a hard core anywhere. She doesn&#39;t appear to have any scaley leg
mites either. It was very painful to her when I cleaned it with Betadine a little while ago.

			<title><![CDATA[ Losing pullets ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ Lost several pullets the last couple of days. They are 6 weeks old. Had the same happen with a batch before at about the same age.

One day they are listless, just standing hunched over. Next they lay down on their side. Next day they are dead. Lost now 6 in a row out of 85 head and
seperated 5 more. No change in feed (although the last batch looked slightly different) Did have sudden change in weather, but they are inside. Any ideas? ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ We keep 6 chooks that free range a bit during the afternoons and on weekends.  Other than that they have a small hen house where they roost and a much larger
run where they spend time when we are not home.  One of our hens has developed a split beak - we are a bit concerned about it as the spit seems to be getting
longer.  It doesn&#39;t appear to be affecting her feeding but would like to investigate stopping the split before it gets worse and her health is affected.

			<description><![CDATA[ We bought 21 baby chicks. (7 each) Australorp, RH Reds, and Barred Rocks. They are all 11 days old. One of the Rhodies is much smaller than the rest and really
weak/lethargic. She can walk and stand but is definatley not right. She gets trampled by the others and just lays there. When I pick her up she doesn&#39;t try

			<description><![CDATA[ i have a 6 month old goose who broke the bottom of her bill the part under her tongue. I believe this happened last night (Thursday , Sept. 17).I noticed it at
about 5 pm tonight it is not bleeding and it looks not infected but all she has been doing today is sleeping. I don&#39;t think she can eat i gave her some
