Setting Hens

I have a couple hens who have decided to set. My problem is that I have two turken hens who chase them out of their nest and lay their (turken) eggs in with the ones setting. I have one white hen who has hatched out 2 chicks so far in one of my laying nest in the chicken house. I usually take them out after 24 hours so the chicks can drink and eat. How long can I keep them in the nest with the mamma as I don't want to mess up any chicks that might be hatching out today or tomorrow. This...

I haven't written in a bit ( I have been lurking some though) so I am unsure if the rules changed on the board so this might be in the wrong place. My Family and I are moving back to NH from Wisonsin in June and I have a few questions.

I am from the northern part of Muskoka Ontario. Currently I have a flock of 21 spoiled mutts (Mostly red sex link). I also keep a small flock of ebden geese (5 with more on the way), and plan on building a barn and work shop so I can expand in the near future. Bees are next on the list =)

All of my animals are rescues. I take great pride in rehabilitating domestic and wild birds that wouldn't otherwise have a chance. I belive in giving my birds as much free range as is seasonally...
