Well, yeah! The members getting fed up trying to follow it around. If this place were a retail business that kept locking the door during business hours, it wouldn't be very busy, either, would it?

I have plenty of girls, they are just too darn big. I hate to get rid of them, on the off chance i want to breed my own. I made another bachelor pen today for the 2 Americaunas (so much for my 'all pullet' order, i had 4 roos!) They are still too young to care about being separated from the girls - more nervousness at being in a new pen i think. The two marans seem a little more settled now. I figure if i lavish enough attention on them, they will be a little nicer also.

I've got bachelor pens, like you noticed the boys are not happy. They want to be back with their parents but dang, they're as big as their parents now. So far so good, not sure that will work much longer since mine are not in a seperate building. Just have to wait and see. Like you I'm over run with little boys and not near enough girls for them.

I know, it's confusing, but I found the other site yesterday, and couldn't log in. (I thought it was this site, with new graphics) Later that day i received an email response to a thread I posted here a few weeks ago, followed the link, and I could log in, no problem, and that was when i realized there were two BYC sites.

I used to be a regular 'here' (with Wes and Dlhunicorn and many many others) and I remember alot of the names i see here now. I did get busy with...

Not to worry, the new BYC has been around for almost two years. Many of us just like to hang around here because it is not nearly as busy and it just feels like home. Zoomom, not sure how you got a response to a post on the other BYC and you ended up here but I am glad you got your answer. This board is no longer connected with the Website Backyard Chickens so there is not much in the way of basic information available. We are always glad to help where we can, however.

There are several threads in the archive section about it... Yuku didnt turn out to be the big booboo we thought (and now it is run by kickapps which is pretty reliable)...
so no...no joking. Several members post at both locations but for many of us this still feels more like "home"

Is that a fact? If you are kidding you need to put in some sort of 'smilie face' so I will know it is a joke. I am a literal person and take everything as a fact. If it is true, what does that mean for us? Changes ahead??
