HeavyPetting, I haven't been here much for awhile, and just saw that Mr. Joy passed away. I'm so sorry. I'm so glad that you found each other. Thank you for giving him a wonderful life, and thank you to Mr. Joy's spirit for giving so much to so many people and being a real treasure, just by being himself.

Thanks for all the kind words. Mr. Joy was such a pleasure to be with and care for. I'm glad he was able to touch so many people. I hope his message will live on...

Oh, that makes me so sad to hear! I just LOVED Mr. Joy and told many people about him. He was fortunate to have you to care for him for as many years as you did. I know he will be missed by you, your dh and your other chickens but, also, all of us at BYC who were always cheered by his antics. I think my favorite memory was when he was in your wedding!

I feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to know of Mr. Joy through BYC and the many posts of his accomplishments. I am equally blessed to be able to send you my Heartfelt Feelings during this time.

I just read this on Housechickens. I am soo so sorry for your loss of our Dear Mr. Joy. He was a great ambassador of chicken kind. I'm sure his wives miss him...I know WE will miss his exploits. Hugs.

I can't remember where I saw the video on Mr. Joy, but it was such a delight, I especially liked the bath episode. My sympathies for your loss. Julie

I am sad to report that Mr. Henry Joy, gentleman rooster, therapy chicken and beloved friend, passed away peacefully Thu. Jan. 8,^th 2009. In his 9 years of life, he touched many lives proving that when it comes to love, neither size nor species are important.
