Posts: 30 Apr 10 08 8:38 PM	No Queen anne's lace and poison hemlock are NOT the same thing. However they are almost identical! The main difference is in their flower. One of them has a dark flower in the center of the cluster. If you pull up poison hemlock you should wear gloves. ALL PARTS OF THE PLANTS ARE POISONOUS!!! That includes the sap! Please look it up for a better description and be on the safe side if you are not sure if it is or not. There are other plants that resemble it that are harmless or edible such as the wild carrot and the wild parsnip which is part of the reason it is so deadly.

Posts: 1273 Apr 16 08 4:37 AM	Remove this ad It's a wonder I survived my childhood. I always loved the Queen Anne's lace, and remember the little dark purple spot in the center. I used to pick them, play with them, make head wreaths with them and daisies.And I was always one to "taste" things too!
