Yuku free message boards

Hey gang!

The link on BYC to Yuku has been reduced to avoid confusion. Many people decided to stay here which is totally fine. Some like the small, family feeling environment over here, but we (the BYC staff) have a commitment to the BYC community as a whole (old, new, and yet to come) to make BYC available to as many people who need help with chickens as possible. We've seen more people start with chickens and join the community than ever before, and this is due to the amazing teamwork of the community and moderators. BYC's identity isn't defined by a server or the software on that server. For example, the BYC community started on the actual BYC domain. Garm decided to move the forum to ezboard where it lived (at what I believe was a temporary home) at ezboard.

BYC is defined by the wonderful members that make up the community and we're so very excited to see almost 11,000 members and thousands of more visitors getting help for their chickens and enjoying the camaraderie in the group.

Please don't feel slighted by the reduction or eventual removal of the link to ezBYC / Yuku. Every decision that is made is for the long term benefit of the community (and their chickens) as a whole. Please also remember that when the site was down for 3 months (without any promise of returning) there were no links at all.

Anybody looking for Yuku should have a link in their favorites folder (as I have). If they still can't find it, they can simply search on Yuku or Google.

I was talking with Cindi a few months back and we were discussing Garm's forum move from BYC to ezboard and how back then people had a lot of difficulties with the move. Also, there was a lot of drama and distrust when Cindi became the administrator and she proved to be the super admin we all grew to love and respect. I don't think any of us like change, but I personally am glad to see the BYC Forum "come back home" which has been wonderful for the community and their chickens!
