I just lost my one rooster and now Stud has a sour crop. Diablo's crop was hard when he died but Stud's is squishy. The smell is horrible. I have read so many things about how to help with a sour crop and some things contradict eachother. I tried to get him to vomit, which he did but then he started choking over and over again. I believe this treatment is very dangerous due to the possiblity of asperation. I will feel awful if some of the fluid went into his lungs and he was so upset when I turned him downward. I read about cutting into the crop and draining it. I don't think so. I wouldn't have the nerve. Stud is 5 1/2 and a bantum. He just started pooping runny yellow poop. Hardly any solid at all. Diablo had the same thing happen with his poop. Is there anything I can do? His crop in not impacted but sour. I don't know if he has eaten anything that would have blocked the crop. He is free range but spends most of his time on the patio. He was eating real good until about 2 days ago. He will eat bugs but not feed. There is grit available if he wants it. He is my only rooster now and if anyone can help me, I would appreciate it.
