First, if you have too much of anything, there's usually a reason, and the reason tends to be a lot of their food. Remove the food source. If your eggs ARE the food source, you need to tighten up your chicken coop. Use smaller mesh wire (like rabbit wire), and securely seal up all holes, and that means the ones up high, too.

Call your local Cooperative Extension Service (find yours here: http://www.csrees.usda.gov/Extension/) and ask if they know of any herpetologist clubs around, then call them and ask if they would like to collect some snakes (they will usually do it for free). Many members like to add to their collections.

King snakes can be very useful against other snakes, because they eat them, and that means rattlesnakes, coppermouths, etc, too (they tend to be immune to viper venom as long as they're local snakes, not imported from outside your area). But I think king snakes also eat chickens, so.......

But just tightening up your coop security may remove the attraction, and they will go elsewhere.
