You may remember that my Mini Rex had a litter last July, and the doe I kept (I kept two but one died of a prolapsed rectum) is now almost 5 months old. What is the best breeding age for a Mini Rex?

Five months is a good age to breed that size rabbit. I think, but am not 100% certain, that some prolapse may be inherited. I will see what I can find out.

Not until 6 months, they need to be full grown. I don't breed my Hollands even then if they are small, I wait until 8 moths on the small girls.

Rule of thumb is 6 months for small breeds and 8+ months for larger. I would not recommend breeding any earlier than 6 months, but if you are planning on
breeding, make sure you do so before a year old as many complications can occur if you wait any longer than that.
